New Faculty Learning Community: Wordpress/Blogging

Wordpress is a cloud-based website creation tool, and as such, is one of the easiest and most powerful content management systems available for free. I have used Wordpress (WP) for almost ten years,
- as a way of building and presenting course syllabi and materials to students;
- as a forum for discussions and participatory/blended learning;
- teaching students how to use it for their own academic and professional portfolios.
There are many other uses for WP, from personal blogging to creating a platform for scholarly collaborations. The FLC will provide a mutual learning/support group for WP. Drop in as your interest and schedules determine. No prior knowledge of Wordpress is necessary.
Some examples of Wordpress sites are:
Sewanee alumna, Meg O’Neill c’13 and a job she has as staff photographer for 303 Magazine, which is also running on Wordpress
