Many summer programs and classes are in full swing following Reunion Weekend, and others will begin soon. Athletic programs and camps for all ages have already begun. Here are some of the other joys of Sewanee in the summer, both academic and non-academic.
College Summer School and the School of Letters both run from June 4 to mid-July, bringing student energy back to campus.
The BRIDGE Program in Biomedical Science will be held June 10-26.
Sewanee Summer Music Festival will bring several concerts to campus each week from June 23-July 22.
Pre-College Field Studies Experience for study of the environment will run from June 24 to July 7.
Two sessions of the always popular Sewanee Summer Seminar are scheduled, from June 24-30, and from July 8-14.
The Choral Institute—new this year—will be held June 27-July 1.
Sewanee Young Writers' Conference kicks off the month of July, and runs from July 1-14.
SUMMA Student Theological Debate Society will be held July 17–25.
The University will host the 29th session of the Sewanee Writers’ Conference from July 17-29, bringing to campus a distinguished faculty to provide workshops and craft lectures in poetry, fiction, and playwriting, as well as readings that are open to the public.
