Professor Engel organized and chaired a symposium on "Memory and Mortality in Renaissance England" at The Warburg Institute, Center for Advanced Study, University of London, which brought together renowned experts in early modern literary and cultural studies from the USA, Canada, Australia, England, Wales and France.

Imitating History: Selective Memory in Ritual Practice

The Rev. Canon Lizette Larson-Miller will be giving a public lecture on Wed., June 19, at
7 p.m. in Hargrove Auditorium, Hamilton Hall. She will be in Sewanee teaching a course in the Advanced Degrees Program at the School of Theology. The lecture has been made possible by the Arrington Lecture Fund.

2019 Convocation and Conferring of Degrees

The School of Theology closed its 2018–19 academic year with a Convocation and Conferring of Degrees on May 10, 2019, in the University of the South’s All Saints’ Chapel. The seminary presented a variety of degrees to 31 students and conferred four honorary degrees.
